'Dude,' if any of us where in the market for larger bore, there are alot of bikes in that same cc class thatwill put the DRZ to shame. Husky TE450 and KTM 450EXC immediately come to mind.

It must suck toown the DOG of the 400cc class 'DUDE!'...Is that why you come to a 250cc forum to try and make your apples-to-oranges comparisons? Get a life, 'dude.' Find a DRZ forum or just buy a Husky and be happy.

Shoulda bought a DRZ400 instead dude...........

I looked at the husky's and KTM they arent worth the extra $2000 . Also I dont feel like checking valves second ride. DRZ400E'S are bullet proof compared to the KTM and Huskies. The DRZ400 can keep up with them no problem. I run hare scrambles all summer long and my drz400 puts many KTM's and Huskies to Shame.

BTW how are those klx250 valves? have they burned up yet ? lol. I don't have to check mine till I hit the 15000mile mark, and in saying thatI Doubt i'll even have to shim em ...............

DUDE .......

I looked pretty seriously at the DRZ and it looked like a good bike. I liked the idea of a different set of super moto rims to swap out with the dirt set-up. Eddy on TT is doing some great stuff horsepower wise that would make the bike all kinds of fun. In the end though common sense won out and I ended up with a great little bike that has beenfun to mod and a blast to ride. If I feel the need for speed I break out the ZX10 and blow the doors off of about anything out there. I don't think one bike does it all but between the 10 and the KLX I pretty muchgot all the bases covered.

Ha, just yesterday I raced a DRZ & I admit he hung right there with me till 90mphbut then it was all KLX. From 90-140 mph I just looked in my rearview & laughed. He had some smoke going from his exhaust too, he must have broken his power band or something. Anyhoo, I think I am going to get some of those Boysen RAD reed valves & put it on my KLX. To make it even RADer! The magazines all say they are way awsome so those should make my speed go to like 155 mph--then the DRZ will be even slower too me. BTW Ricky Carmichael was the guy riding the DRZ too.

Hehe! Yeah, I think you have this guy pegged. He must be all of about 16 years old. Don't forget the power valve as you don't want to fuel starve at WOT.

Sweet, no doubt RC mistook you for James since you were riding green. BTW what kind of pre-mix were you running, must have been some good stuff?
