where is the coolant drain plug?
I check the coolant level regularly but so far it hasn't needed replenishment or changing. I took a look at the manual for us on this and as far as I can tell there isn't a drain plug for the coolant. The manual says to take it to the dealer every 2years or 24,000 miles for change of coolant otherwise just top it off.
I'm not an expert on this stuff(never attended motorcycle mechanic school)so this is the best I can do for you.

Right side, 8mm bolt, directly beneath the waterpump cover. There's a cheap little aluminum crush-washer that costs less than a dollar and your dealership parts counter should have them in stock.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Facing DOWN for your convenience. (i.e. in the direction of the draining coolant in the above photo.) It's torqued to only 11Nm and the manual recommends replacing the aluminum crush-washer.
The surest way to ensure you don't overtighten it (turning it the wrong way), is to use a socket/ratchet. I've only seen one person strip the threads on the coolant drainplug, but I've had three friends strips the oilpan drain plug.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Would you use that same plug if your flushing your coolent system? It seemed to take forever when I drained mine that way and I still have coolent in the over flow bottle thingy.
Remove the radiator cap and the coolant will drain much more quickly.
And since that coolant reservoir is mostly an overflow catch-basin to allow the coolant to expand when it is hot and agitated, it will not be drained when you drain the radiator, engine and hoses of coolant.
And why would you need to flush your coolant system? If you drain and replace the coolant every 2 or 3 valve adjustments, flushing shouldn't be necessary.

I would need to flush it for the race track. You have to run stright water. The only thing you are allowed to add other then water is water wetter. Also if you put ICE coolent the bottle says to only run it. When I changed my coolent I couldn't figure out how to get that over flow bottel empty so I just left it. the way it was. Thanks for the info.
Intresting i broke mine thread on my drain plug, however it isnt leaking,so not in a rush as i just pull the hose of,i know this wont drain the full system but i cant seem to find a part number or even the bolt when ive looked on the parts diagram, anyone have any clue to what the number is and where it is on the diagrams??????
