Default oil drain plug 2006 KX250

Is there a trick to unscrewing the oil drain plug from the bottom of the crankcase on a 2006 KX250? It doesn't seem to want to catch, regardless which way you turn it. Someone recommended I push rather than pull when turning. Any suggestions?

I posted another idea in your other post. Wish ya luck.

edit:
Since you have a safety wire hole in the bolt, I would also run a piece of stainless steel safey wire through the hole to place tension on the bolt (pulling downward) as you slowly try to unscrew it to see if the threads will catch.
