Rejetted the carb today. I think everything went well. ...diaphragm looks like it seated and sealed properly. ...slide moves smoothly. ...needle is seated straight into hole. I'll reinstall and try to button everything up tomorrow.

I'm hoping you only performed self surgery with that drill - cranial air passage, extra ear duct, etc - but I got a feelin something on your CVK got it too...

LOL ...as much as my cranial cavity could use a little extra venting, i reamed out the starter jet to .018". It went real easy so i didn't hog it out by much. ...anyway, it's only the choke circuit. Being in NJ, i could use a little extra cool weather starting help.

Put the carb back on with the new IMS tank and fired her up. Started right up and idled nice at 2 turns out. After it warmed up i fiddled with the kouba screw. Looks like the half way point between idle drops is something like 2 or 2 1/8 turns out. I left it at 2.

Ok... WOW!!! That DG-O is loud. I had it running in a 1 car garage with the door open and it was looouuuud. Sounded like more than a 250 also. Has a deep rumble. My neighbors are gonna love it

It's cooling off now (so am i with a heineken) then I'll slap all the misc. pieces and plastics back on. Test ride tomorrow...

Just got back from a little ride around town. It definitely pulls harder everywhere. I think my arms are an inch longer. And did i mention the DG-O is loud??? If i have time next week I'm going to stop by the bike shop and set up a dyno run.

If you do intend to dyno, I should fill you in on the particulars beforehand so they will know that you know what you want and expect from them..

In the meantime, there is another option to try. After you're sure you know your new power bands' characteristics below 6k - you could try 1N on the DJ needle for a possible further increase in throttle response and power ramping below 6k.. If you do try it, and the results are positive, it is because without MCM, your bike doesn't need quite as much "fueling" as mine in the 3.5k-6k rpm range..

P.S. For 1N, you super glue the washers together and rest them on top of the clip..

OK, some of you may want to look away as I am posting a ‘DIRT’ bike pictures.

After my off in Payson and getting my foot trapped under the bike, held at the ankle by my rack side bars, I worked them over. I got one picture of the before, from the rear. And 2 after I was done with it (with the ‘green’ padding). The side bars sit a lot closer to the side covers. I changed out the taillight to a $7 trailer brake light to clear the new roto rack mounting bolts.
Another picture shows my new ‘LOGO’.
