Attempted to climb some large chunky dirt berm at pretty much creeping speed, laid the bike down on the left side and snapped the clutch lever.

Picked the bike up and it wouldnt shift-- bent the shifter slightly toward the engine. Was able to bend it back by hand enough to shift and make it home.

At least no other damage was done to me or the bike. All my plastics were at home!

Rode to the top of a couple of mountains. OK, it was yesterday. Today I'm putting on a new rear tire and replacing my Edge tail light with a new one(a bunch of the LEDs are out and it won't pass inspection).

The light bar is awesome. The brackets not so much. They are hack job but work so well that I've never taken them off to paint them.

That looks like it was a cool wedding!

Love the look of that bike

May I ask, is that an extended fuel tank or an extended coolant tank on the rear?

Also, where did you get the windshield? And does it help much?

Thanks

What I did with my KLX today - took it to the dealer for it's first official 1000 km oil change (I changed it myself at 500km but ssshh, don't tell anybody!)

Installed racetech 6.4 rear spring, what a pain in the *** that was!! Didn't know you had to pre load the shock 1-2 inches to clear the intake. I really hope racetec recommended the right spring or ima be pissed

That is a Baker Distance tank, it holds an extra 1.1 gallons. I'm pretty sure he stopped making them years ago. I had to lose the coolant bottle to mount the tank, meant to relocate it, just never had the need.
And the windshield is great for commuting, it really keeps the wind off me in cooler weather. It's off my old EX-500 and has been heated and bent to fit a little better.
It should have come off for spring, it sucks to have it on when off-roading. It's too tall and I often have to duck to the side or get hit by it on big bumps.

There's a lot to love about EFI but I've discovered there's only 1 company making tanks for the KLX250S EFI... and not cheap.

I think I'll just stick a jerry can in a pannier
