The bottom screw is rebound. If you turned it max in you slowed rebound way down. Your rear end will stay compressed longer. You may experience packing because the shock cant recover fast enough between bumps.

For the top it is compression. If you turned it out 1 turn you made it softer.
Yes, I think that's where I'm at right now. I need to re-ride and verify my settings though. When the rebound was all the way out I basically had no suspension because it was bottomed out or close to it. One turn out is a little slow on the rebound but, okay for tar snakes on asphalt. Off road I will need to firm it up some if I do anything more then soft trail rides though.

Compression is a little softer as well and seems to help the ride on asphalt.

On asphalt I want to soften the initial impact jolt and stop the harsh kickback in the seat which is where I think I'm at right now. I will be riding carefully on these suspension settings until I get some confidence I won't get wheel hop, washouts, etc. due to my novice attempts "adjusting" my suspension.
