Default Suspension questions and help needed?

I have an 03 636 with a lowering link on it.. Was told that it was lowered one inch but doesnt appear to have been lowered in the front at all.. How will this hinder my cornering and overall ride? I also weigh 195 with out gear on so I firgure with boots and leathers on im around 220.. Do I need to adjust my shock height for my weight? The reason I ask this now is because of a pic that was taken of me at the dragon Saturday that makes my bike look way out of adjustment.. Here is that pic.. http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/Orde...0099&po=100&c=

Any help would be appreciated.. Safe riding.. Chris

Yes, on all accounts. You need the bike to be level for lack of a better word 'cause it will mess with the center of gravity, and will affect the handling. Also be careful in the twisties, my bike is lowered too, and I will scrape the lower plastics, or pegs if I really get into the corner. You should look at the angle your bike had when it is on the kick stand, it should be at 28-33 degrees. I had to get my stand cut twice to get it to lean enough, so it would go over in a stiff breeze. I am sure that someone will add anything I've left out.

As mentioned by shino, your corneringwill be altered drastically. What is the static and rider sags? At 200lbs is the spring about a 525# rear spring? The front prolly a .95kg? Without your ride being "even", you risk the chance ofpushingthe front in most cases. Even is just a term being used right now, but the ride has to feel even to you in order to feel comfy for your style. Get with a buddy who can help you set your sag numbers, then you can play more on preload, rebound, etc for your tires and you. Dropping your front close to the equal amount as the rear will give you a baseline start, but that seems pretty darn low to the ground.
