Finally, some pics of the end cap. you can see how the end cap outlet pipe curves up and over the inlet pipe. Some (perhaps most or all?) KTM EXC's came with an additional screen over the very tip of the end cap. This screen was designed for sound reduction only, the spark arresting is done by the find mesh screen at the other end of the outlet pipe (the part inside the chamber which also sits above the main inlet pipe).
High guys ,
I am back ,
Sorry been away , Still healing up.. Never going out on the bike again with flip flops and shorts. I still cannot put shoes on. Hopefully in a couple of weeks all will be back to normal.
Any way. Just fitted the Mk 1 prototype. Much quieter. Around 71DBs idle and 81DB full throttle.
I have pics and a video..
I will get them up today.
Then i will tear the end cap off the can and see what its like inside. However i can see already that the offset from inlet and outlet is not as much as i asked for.
Anyway.
I will get more done later,
This is the drawing i gave the guy who made the exhaust.
It was more of a quality thing to start with.
MK2 will be able to fit the FMF header. I think that is more flexible. And will incoperate Queen of spades dimensions.
Good work! Muffler looks great - eager to see/hear MKII. I'm very interested in a little quieter tone and of course ability to connect up to the FMF megabomb header.
