Default Stock exhaust with FMF megabomb?

I'm ready to try anything to get my bike quieter again. It's a new Q4 with the quiet core insert. No the packing hasn't blown out with only ~200 miles on the new muffler.

I can't see any easy and non-destructive way to make the FMF Q4 quieter than it is now. Tired of the racket and noise when I'm trying to be stealthy in my local riding area.

Will the stock muffler fit on the Megabomb header?

Nope.

There is a significant diameter difference between the "bell" on the MegaBomb and the nipple on the stock silencer.

I have $500 burning a hole in my pocket for a stealthy quiet, lightweight performance exhaust. I know most people want loud and that's why there aren't any suitably quiet mufflers on the market. If I had the welding skills I'd get a second Q4 and make the entire can 8" longer. Ugh.

thanks.

Well hold on a min.. There is also the combo of the FSW header and a stock KLX300R silencer.

Not finding a used OEM KLX300R muffler right now. A few headers on there, but not an OEM 300R muffler. I set up an email alert. Something hopefully will show up.

I've been following the klx300 muffler on eBay for the last 6 months. They'll pop up every few weeks or so. Do report back how you feel about its loudness. I'm in a similar boat. Would like to swap my Q4 for something a bit quieter. Will probably run it with the klx300 header as well
