Oh mamma now I am inspired to put a KX250 engine/stator kit and suspension onto a KLX frame and keep it plated

Im pretty sure you are right... KTM whees and suspension... custom fabricated fuel tank under the seat.

Our plating laws are fairly lenient...... we can plate a KLX450. I was tempted but figured it would bad for my health. Got a KLR650 instead.
