Default bought a second bike tonight

I have been on craigslist a lot, shopping for a used 2 stroke dirtbike that could perform well on either an MX track, or in the tight woods. I think I finally found the bike, and bought it tonight. It's a 2006 KTM 200XC-W. It's funny, I almost made the trip down to Cincinnati to check out a used 2001 Kawasaki KDX200. Right before I left I found a new listing for this KTM, it was in the Dayton area, and only 600 more for a more serious bike. I actually think the KDX200 would have beeen an easier bike for me to handle at this point in time, but the KTM has more upside as my skills improve.

The KTM is in really good shape, besides the graphics. It has new tires, an FMF Gold Series headpipe, new brakes, and a fresh top end. I rode it around the guy's yard, it feels strong and runs crisply. Too bad I have to work tomorrow (it's food drive day for us letter carriers), but if the weather holds up I could see taking it to the trails after work. If not, then Sunday.

Oh yes, the KLX will be ridden more often than the KTM. After work, it's so easy just to hop on the KLX and go riding. The KTM will take more time and work to ride due to the fact I have to load and unload from a pickup truck. I see myself riding the KTM on days when I know there will be a lot of people riding, and I plan to ride for hours. Also, if I want to head up to the MX track for a few laps, I'd feel better doing it on the KTM and not making the KLX take that kind of beating. The KLX is my baby.

Does that model have the dual curve ignition CDI? Nice pick up BTW. Get some green plastics though.
