Yes, your bike engine is almost guaranteed to be aluminium.

Just be aware that stainless steel will gall into aluminium like crazy. All you have to do to prevent it is use a little nickel anti-seize on the thread, but if you forget and it locks up you will have a hell of a time getting it undone and there WILL be serious thread damage.
