Default New exhaust!!! DG

I installed DG exhaust today, R series. Just what I wanted and expected, 98 decibels of fun. Nice low grumble with a good tone! $150 off ebay was well worth the cost. Didn't even have to rejet, much more power now (I was overjetted before). I definitely suggest it for anyone looking for something other than fmf, hmf, two bros, or muzzy.

Looks decent. DG has been around, and I've seen it mainly on some street bikes, but they make stuff for all kinds of applications. I guess I remember them best for making a 6-into-1 header/muffler setup for the Honda CBX and the Kawasaki 1300. Lots of pretty plumbing on the exhaust of those bikes.

I'm guessing it was the same company back in the 80's that made BMX bikes. They have the same logo.
Looks like a nice muffler. $150 is cheap.

February 2012 issue of Dirt Bike Magazine has an article on the KLX250S. They added some aftermarket stuff and a DG pipe was one of them.

Looks good. Mind if I ask a few questions?

How did the install go? Everything line up right? Do you know if there's much difference between the R and O series? I've heard some complaints about these pipes, but at $150 it seems kinda hard spend $300 plus on something else.

98db might be a little loud for me, but I'm pretty sure they sell quiet cores.

They do sell quiet cores, what have been the complaints? O series is an oval and has a flanged tip, R is round and house a stick out round tip thats all haha

I took off my stock exhaust, curious to see what it sounded like without a muffler (wow). Then put the new one on and clamped it down haha took about 3 minutes. However, The pipe does get very close to the passenger foot guard and burns the paint, so if you smell something that's it. Probably error on my install.

I'll put a video up one of these days
