Default Undertail Exhaust vs Side Exhaust

I own a '04 636 and LOVE the fact that it has a side mount exhaust. Thinking about buying another one or even a 10r, but I HATE undertail exhausts. you can't put a specialized clor can on there to show off. Plus it doesn't look the same. What do you guys/gals think of undertail vs side mount exhaust? Does any one know if Kawi is going to put the side mount back on the 636 and KEEP the side mount on the 10r?

Although I think the undertail looks cleaner and has it's own special appeal, I kind of like the raw-machine look of having a side-mount. My 05 ZZR600 has a side-mount (damn that stock can is HUGE), and I love the way it looks. Also, talking to some friends that have undertail exhausts, they're jealous of my side-mount because my seat doesn't heat up to a million degrees when I'm stopped at a light for a long time .

So I'm perfectly content having an "old" side-mount exhaust.

I too love the look of the undertail exhaust but I'd have to say I like the side mount better. Heck, I have two!!!! Which I personally like better than single exhaust.

i love the undertail exhaust. it looks a whole lot cleaner. and it doesn't get too hot. i get more heat from the engine then the exhaust. i also took out alot of the plastic around the exhaust. it looks a whole lot better. now i'm just waiting for my new exhaust to come in.

I love the undertail, that is one of the reasons I went with a Kaw. It looks alot cleaner and just gives it one hell of a sex appeal...[sm=badbadbad.gif]

Undertail by far!! Looks WAY better, IMO. As far as heat is concerned, I'm with Mad Cow ... it's not that big of a difference. I think the underseat makes the bike look like a true race machine. Clean, sporty and aerodynamic.

I had a side exhaust on my 2000 Honda F4 with a Two Bros exhaust and will never go back to one again. (although it did sound awesome.
