Is there any reason to get after market cams instead? Assuming cost isn't an issue...are the gains or drive ability any better or worse? I have no problem doing the work but I just want long term reliability.

I really wish someone could answer that question. The web cams vs stock retimed cams with dyno reports. All I can say is that the MCM will change your relationship with your bike forever. It's that good.

Whats the verdict with the MCM and the 300 kit. Its a bit ambigious in the sticky I think.

Well I wouldn't do the mod if I had the 300 on my bike. MCM increases torque and moves its' curve down the RPM range from standard. BTW,as a sidebar, due to the way horsepower calculations are performed by dynos', the MCM will not show up as much of a horsepower increase. But your seat-of-the-pants dyno and your holy-sh#t-ometer will peg out ! Torque RULES!

If cost is not an issue ? Next-day-air the web cam #101. Slap em in, pull the airbox lid off, install the #132 jet, duct tape your hands to the grips.... report back your findings.
