Nice, What did the brass rod cost? last time I bought some it was for a model cannon lathe project, 7th grade shop. Parents freaked when they saw the price.

I just asked the right guy.

I just looked it up $28 a foot for 1" bar. ( Mine is .750 dia )

If I had to finance the project I may have made them out of steel and then painted them.
