tire to valve stem position/ balancing
I have a set of conti sport attack tire and cant find the "dot" that is used to locate the tire to the stem for balancing. I know on michelin tires you line up the bar code, is it the same for the canti sports? Is it pertenant that the tire has to be lined up for balancing or does it not really matter? Yes i am a cheap skate and dont want to pay $60 at a shop and they cant answer me either. They say bring em in, yeah right.
Not sure on the Conti's, but even using the dot on my pirellis it was not a perfect balance. You will still need to static balance. I was surprised on how much weight I had to use to get one set balanced. Good luck and post up a ride report on the Conti sport attacks
This is my 2nd set. The 1st were contisport street attacks and the are the best tires i ever had, lots of grip and more milage, about 800-1000 miles more than the michelin pilot powers i used in the past. I got around 1500 miles out of those compared to the almost2500 on the conti's. The conti feels more stable in the rear and made the bike feel less like it was going to fall out. This set is the road attacks wich are a little more sticky. I dont ride super hard all the time so that could be factored in with the higher milage.
