Default Rear brake barely holding

Hey guys, I don't know how long this has been doing this but my rear brake is hardly holding. The only thing stopping my bike is the front brake. I bought the bike new in Mayand it is a 2006 Kawi zx6r. I can push all I want on the brake lever but I can still push my bike out of a rest. Any suggestions?

Or just change out the fluid and bleed it again.

i have the same problem, have checked with other 06 636 owners it seem like it maybe just the 06 636 trible??? brakes sucked right off the show room floor. took it back and they bleed the brakes, no change, i put braded lines on and bleed the **** out of them, no change, sanded down the pads and bleed them again with the caliper off so no air bubbles could be traped, no change, replaced the pads last nite, no change. this really sucks you can't even lock up the rear tire, the service dept here sucks i will try another one today and see if they have any idea's

There might be air trapped in the lines or in the master cylinder. It is very close to the exhaust midpipe and could be getting hot, boiling and causing air bubbles. Remove the rear caliper, put a piece of wood or material between the pads the same thickness as the rotor, raise it up in the air as high as you can, the try bleeding it. Make sure the leed screw is at the highest point. Tap the brake lines with something as you bleed it.
