hi, i just needed some help and I was curious of everyone else's opinon. My brother laid my bike down and i was wondering how much i can get for the bike as is. Also if someone can give me a quick estimate of damage. It is a 2006 zx-6r with 2900 miles on and and i have the pink slip in hand. The bike has a Yoshimura RS5 carbon fiber slip on, seat cowl, fender eliminator kit, and front LED turn signals.



There is a minor crack near the headlight, and the rest is scratches. In one pic you can seee the handlebar touches the tank only on that side. If anyone can tell me what that is that would be great

man i would be making you brother fix it for you.....doesnt really look all that bad maybe just take the panels off and paint them......but since you handle bars touch your tank they are probably bent or something else it bent.....thats too bad though man......but i would buy that seat cowl if it would fit my 7r but it probably wouldnt

 

Umm. . . .it's hard to say. I would get some new plastics and replace the clip ons. . . unless the forks got bent .... then sell it

I would take it to a dealer/bike shopand have them check it out- if anything to make sure it can go back on the road safely.

 

btw- plastics/parts on ebay . . . or local classifieds . . .

 

sound good.... my brother is paying for it... the two options are i sell it as is and he pays the difference, or he pays to get it fixed and then i sell it. i have a minimum i want to get out of the bike. I plan on get a new one in 2 years. kinda wanna mellow out a bit.

 

Fix it, keep it & enjoy it. They don't make the 636 anymore. Much better streetbike that the 600's.

 

You can sell me the solo cowl but in my opinion I would keep it just because they don't make it any more.

 

Well you can sell your bike for whatever you would like to really, but roughly your bike fixed is worth roughly $7000.00. If you bought aftermarket fairings they could run you about 400-800ish to buy new ones. Your bars hitting your tank is another thing to take in, you could have bent your bars(easy fix), or bent your forks which could be costly.So if you don't fix anything I would sayyou could ask somewhere around5 to 6K. This does depend on what is really wrong with you bars hitting though.....again I am noexpert, but I thought I would share my2 cents worth!

 

without even seeing it in person, its looking close to 3500.00 in damage. mabey a little more. how much you looking to get for it ?
