HEY BUD! A ZX 10R IS AN AWESOME MACHINE YOU REALLY CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THESE NEW LITER BIKES. ITS MORE OF A QUESTION OF BRAND LOYALTY. IF YOU ARE STARTING OUT WITH AN SV 650 AND TRYING TO UPGRADE TO A ZX10R, I DON'T SEE NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. I JUST SOLD MY 2000 SV 650 TRACKDAY BIKE NOT TOO LONG AGO. THE ONLY QUESTION YOU HAVE TO ASK YOURSELF IS ,ARE YOU READY FOR A 70 RWHP INCREASE ON TAP WITH THE 10R? I DON'T WANT YOU TO GET INTO THE HYPE OF JUMPING ON A BIG BIKE AND KILLING YOURSELF. IF THE ANSWER IS "YES" LOOK AT THE REAR WHEEL OF YOUR SV 650. IF YOU STILL SEE CHICKEN STRIPS ON THE EDGES OF IT THAT MEANS YOU STILL NEED TO LEARN THAT BIKE BEFORE YOU UPGRADE TO A 900CC+ RACE REPLICA. REMEMBER ITS ALL ABOUT THE CORNER SPEED! ANY BODY CAN RIDE STRAIGHT. START OUT SLOW, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH RIDING A SMALLER BIKE. JUST FOR YOUR INFORMATION I OWNED 3 600CC BIKES, 2 750CC, A CBR 954 BEFORE I BOUGHT MY SELF A ZX10R. LIVE TO RIDE THE NEXT DAY BRO!

I dont know about any1 else in here but i saw pics of the 2006 ZX-10R and it is way sweeter than the R1. I am a big fan of the R1 and I was close to getting it, until I rode a ZX-10R. The 06 model is sick and here are some pics of what is to come next year.

i still think the exhaust is butt ugly. it looks like the exhaust from an rc51 with dual hi mounts. except the mid pipes come through the center. i just hope the aftermarket fixes it.

I would have to agree. The dual outlets look pretty nasty. But may good with the heat. Not sure.

They were released in December or so I was told. I should be able to ride it away in no less than 1 month. Of course, I would not place much faith in time specs and everything that the dealers tell ya.

if you buy the 10 just rember hold on
the best way to describe it is picture a corvette motor straped between your legs with no other weight think of the power you would have to deal with yes its that fun
