I recently have been getting the urge to buy either a ZX10 or R1. I own a Suzuki SV 650S and want to get something bigger. I have read numerous times that the R1 is just alittle out of control and it is not as fun as smaller bikes cause it just doesnt want to stay tamed. Any thought on the power of the ZX10 and anything to look out for!!

 

I know this is a kaw forum and i am a kaw lover thru and thru, but i love the look of the Black/Red R1. If i was to get a 1000cc bike this year i might go with the R1. I do love the ZX 10, but i just think that the blk/red R1 is ssssswwwwweeeeettttttt!! JMO Either bike is a great bike, im just going off of looks. You know they both have a **** load of power and handle great. Ones good at this one has more of this so on and so on. What ever you pic post some pics and be safe.

I love the R1 as well. Its a great bike and the 04-05 styling is off the hook. Waiting to see what 06 is bringing us.
As far as the zx10 it's a dam nice bike to, lots of power and styling to go with it. Still don't really like the gxsr freaking cyclops.

I've taken the zx10 out on a few rides, and it's a great bike. you can hit the twisties all day on 1st or 2nd. well i guess you could do that with any liter bike. but ya the zx10 is a really fun bike to have. not too sure about the r1 other than the looks. that's one bad *** looking bike. i hope to take one out someday..... man that's a hard choice to make. if you had to choose one.....[&:]

 

I heard that majority of structural support for the front fairing is the ram air duct on the zx-10 and can break from hard wheelie landings. which isnt a problem for people who dont like wheelies. but also its been said that the r1 has one of the better fuel injection systems out there. not to mention it is a really nice looking bike. even the first r1s where cool looking bikes. but id have to say in my opinion if i was going for a litre bike or close to that size id get a 954. there one of the more comforatable bikes out there and they dont weigh much more than the 600s and 750s but thatd be my personal choice.

 

The zx-10r is the better bike hands down. I have ridden them both, actually, I have ridden all but the honda, and its heavy anyway, and I can tell you that the 10 is the meanist. Inexpierenced riders beware!

 

i rode both bike a 05 R1 and a 05 zx-10r. First of all i dont know about any1 else but the R1 gives off a lot of heat on the rider. My friend has a brand new R1 and i just rode it up and down the block a few times and my legs felt like they were on a frying pan. On a real hot sunny day you would not enjoy the ride on the bike as good as it looks. I rode the zx-10r at a demo ride from kawasaki and i'll tell before i rode both bikes i had my mind set on getting a R1, but after riding the 10 i had a change of heart. the kawi is sweeeeeet and the 06 is model is even sweeeeeter. take a look at the 06 10 u will be in luv. I was all for the 06 R1 but i saw the pics of it and they didnt change the bike at all. the 06 R6 looks much better than it. If i wasnt moving up to a 1000 from a 600 i would get the 06 R6, but i definately have my mind set on the new 06 zx-10r. I just cant wait for the reviews for the bike so me to go out and get one. The 06 kawi comes in green, orange, and all black.

Ok i agree. I did tell you to go for the R1, but the 06 is swweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeett. I would also have to choose the Kaw now. I guess i put my foot in my mouth on that one.

 

I agre about th new ZX10 its pretty dam nice. But R1LE has some cool little extra's.
