What kind of tires should I put on my bike?
#11
Thanks for the quick reply- I don't care about wear, or cost or the perfect tire right now. I just need to get something near what fits the mission of commuting on a KLX 250s ordered so I can go riding and figure out what right for me down the road. The stock tires are shot and the wheels are off the bike ready for tubes and tires. I simply want to be as safe as possible with grip on my commute on service roads up to 70mph, and still be able to ride flat easy trails but not have to avoid a mud puddle. I'm not an expert rider, but I should do OK and need like you said to be steered in the right direction.
edit- The question on the Shinko's is they only make a 120 that would go on the KLX if I have that right, which is a narrower tire. I looked at the Pirelli Scorpion MT90/AT Dual Sport brineinsac has and even then had questions in size. I'm not seeing 130's.

Here's a link to a previous thread I started on the Pirelli's.

I'm running 90/90-21 front and 120/80-18 rear.
