noobie..What kind of oil should i use?

I have a 98 ZX6 E with11508 miles ...it has been bored over rebuilt probly 2000 actuial miles on the motor since the rebuild . i buyght this form my boy and i have no owners man. so i have no clue what kind of oil i should use.. What kind should i use?. please someone?

i use synthetic on mine u could use regular oil the question is how much do u like ur bike i love mine LOL

hmm, tough topic actually.
Not knowing the pistons chosen, the rings, what the crosshatch was? etc. Howshe was broke in.....
Who did the plating?
Nice question to the forumthough.
I am only half way familiar to iron bores. (not sure if the '98 is coated) A certain ring works with a certain crosshatch using castrol for a certain temp. range. As an example
So depending on the ring gap, and not knowing the ride, ( tranny shifting good?, is the power there? how does she feel?)

So, on an unknown ride, I played with castrol 20/50
a known ride, 10/40
after 1200 miles of my useage, amsoil synthetic.
