Well well well....where do I start. Ok, on the second link given above, http://www.cyclepartsnation.com, i have to give my review of them.

I went ahead and ordered $200 worth of plastics from them for my 83 kx 250. I placed my order back on 1/16/2008. Their ordering system said I would receive the parts around 1/29/08.

So here I am sitting here waiting....and waiting....and waiting...but no parts. So on 1/30/08 I decide to log into their site to see if they have a tracking number. And low and behold, my order was CANCELED! So I'm like what the heck? I decide to e-mail them:

From: Me
To: cyclepartsnationadvisor@hotmail.com
Subject: Website Request...
Date: Wed, 30 Jan 2008 22:40:00 -0800

You have an on-line request for information...

Name: Me
Phone: myphone
Email: mye-mail

Request: Yea, I'd like to know why my order XXXXX was canceled?

I was not notified by e-mail or phone of any problems or that my order was actually canceled.

I've been sitting here waiting for my shipments, and when it wasn't until I decided to log on to get a tracking number did I find my order was canceled?

Could you please let me know what happened, and why the order was canceled.
Two days later.......i finally got a response...not exactly what I was looking for:

HI DAMION, WE RESPONDED TO YOUR E-MAIL WITH YOUR CPN ORDER # THATS HOW WE CONTACT CUSTOMERS FOR ALL UPDATES. THANK YOU, TIM

Keep in mind that I never recevied any e-mails from them, or any notification of a cancelation. Yet I get his e-mails just fine. And guess what...still no reason why my order was canceled.....so I reply once again:

Hmm…I guess for some reason I didn’t get that. Well can you let me know why my order was canceled? Thanks Damion
Again....2 days later....

Wow.....wow....wow.....Ok, so I can believe parts are no longer available...but take them off your freakin website. And why so rude? I mean, there was no apology, no sincerity, just short abrubt responses. I don't know, maybe I'm taking it to harsh, but I thought I would post my dealings with this company. I'm glad they at least refunded me my money.

I would never place another order with them ever again. So I would have to say, based on my experience, beware of http://www.cyclepartsnation.com

I guess I'll have to try the other place now...

Well they did reply, so I guess they are still in business. Their reply was a little disconcerning though:

Thanks for writing in! Unfortunately, our system is unable to confirm if an OEM part is available until the order for the part has been placed. Once an order for the part has been placed, the parts status will be updated within 24-36 hours. If you place on order, and the part is found to be backordered, you may cancel the part without any restocking fees. BikeBandit.com only charges your card for parts that ship.

How is it that a company can't look up to see if they still carry a part? Or contact their supplier. I mean I gave them all the exact part numbers.

Instead, I have to place an order, have the funds withdrawn from my credit card, then credited back if they don't have it. That is just really annoying.

I don't know...maybe i'm being picky, but what do you guys think?

I would only place an order through a company that confirms that they have the part/parts.
