I'll do something like that, maybe try to fit the oem shields with some hose clamps and T bolts. I don't know.

On the Power Bomb, the OP could get some aluminum and hand hammer something to fit ala Jesse James. Some softer malleable aluminum would work fairly well.

If nothing else, do some heat wrap. Looks like crap, but would probably do the job.

 

OMG-You're not kidding about that OCC thing... I don't think that my bike was that clean when I picked it up from the dealer.
