Ok, you're at sea level - assuming your CVK is stock, try telling em to put in a K158 main jet for you, set the fuel screw to 3.5 turns out, and pull off the airbox lid.. If they protest, tell em you're trying to teach them something and to "just do it".

 

Put the 42 rear sprocket back on in stead on the 44 for street. The full exhaust and snorkel really lets the engine rev up a lot easier. Im gonna loose the 45 dirt sprocket unless i get another chain dedicated to the dirt tires.

 

I changed out my fork oil going from 5W to 7W and installed new front brake pads. So far the forks feel more firm yet less harsh. Strange. Less fork travel based on the zip ties on my fork slider. Need to look into servicing the rear shock.

Kenny - where did you get the white plastic? Your bike looks sharp and well maintained.

 

My ride is not a KLX its a 2004 D tracker Stock White plastics (japan*not available in the states) D trackers do come in 4 colours Black, White, Blue and Green. U can get the OEM White plastics from IMPEX, the radiator shrouds are priced at (50$-70$)

 

I walked out into the garage and looked at all 3 bikes and then was like mmmm no I'm gonna be lazy today and watch tv. LOL

Not exactly KLX relevant but KLX useful info. While overhauling the 4 carbs on my 95 Honda Magna I discovered from other Magna peeps a place that sells O-rings cheap. Way cheaper than the set of O-rings I bought with a pretty Honda package enclosing them. I could have saved an easy $70 had I gone there first. If you need O-rings for any reason this is the place to go. I have 24 viton metric O-rings on the way for $10 including shipping. The same quantity of "Honda" o-rings set me back about $80.
