it must have been starter or the starter's gears, nothing else possible. I have the same issue some times, so i must do the same think as you i suppose....

I used to hear it once in a while for a second or so when I would start the bike hot, I would stop and hit it again and no problem it would start. I guess it was just flawed from the factory. The bike only has about 5000 on the clock. Never heard of anyone else having the same problem.
Oh well... now that its fixed time to put on the 351 and pumper!!
