Super trapp on klx 300r

what would be a good starting point with the ammount of disks im using and another note will it hurt anything if i remove the baffel plat that is put on over the last tuning plate? it makes it loud but will it hurt anything? and could i js use 18 plates with no baffel?

Thanks guys. People in the know always point to that head pipe and say "where'd you get that?". I get a kick out of it.
Well, this is all subjective, and the race core I had was on a modified 650, not a 300. I meant ungodly roar that sounded good for short periods of time. On that bike, the level of bark coming out of it was on par with a straight-piped Harley or an open-header small block. Yes, it was that loud.
In the instructions that came with my exhaust, it said 6 discs plus the end disc will equal the backpressure of the stock exhaust. If you haven't rejetted yet, I'd start there. Remember that the discs are used to tune the exhaust. Adding more discs to a race core does make it louder, but it also moves the powerband up in the RPM range.
I wouldn't take the end disc off. I think you'll find it plenty loud enough with it on. That end disc (the one with no center hole) is what makes the Supertrapp work. It forces exhaust gases through the other discs. If you take the end disc off, you don't need any other discs either since they are no longer really doing anything. I won't hurt the engine if you jet for it, but it kinda defeats the whole purpose. The end disc is also the spark arrestor, which could be a problem if you ride on state or federal land.

i seen on their site that they had an end disk with a hole in the center cut out to make it louder it says for closed circut track only i may but that and try it out its only 8 bucks... i already have the dynojet stage 2 kit installed and the bike has a k&n airfilter airbox lid removed, fws headder, and but plug removed and it is running a bit rich so id say i could start with the fooling with plated what do you think?

i got ahold of super trapp after and they told me the loudest options woudl be 18 plates or 12 plates with the opend cap but i just stuck it on over the head pipe yesterday and with 18 plates it is pretty loud louder than i expected... but ill see what its liek when i bolt it up and actually drive the bike!!!

I like it. The way you have the muffler angled, you're only going to have 1 bolt holding the whole rear of the exhaust up. That's fine, but I'd make that hanger bracket a little beefier if I was you, just to be safe.

yah that only a piece of 16 gage steel all i had on hand at the time im planniong on using a piece of 1/8 steep plate once i got the right angle found im also planning on making another bracket for extra stregnth to bolt into the top bolt hole and kind of com down onto a triangle to meet with the muffler.
