Super trapp on klx 300r
i just picked up an universial IDS2 super trapp muffler to put on my klx 300r i am going to have to fab up a custom mid pipe but i think it will work out great... has anyone ever put a supertrapp on their klx and are they any good? ill pust up updates as i go along with this little winters project some pics of the muffler are attached...

In the video, it may seem loud, but really isn't. Last fall I rode with a guy that had a KLX300 exhaust with the butt plug removed on his KLX250s. My SuperTrapp was about as loud, though it had a different sound. Mine has a quiet core, and I'm using all 12 discs.

thanks man thats great!!! i hope you dont mind if i use a couple of your pice to help me out with fabbing everythign up... mines a race core by the way so 9i could go up to 18 disks... im looking to get it loud but take some plates out when i drive on the road

Glad I could help. If I had to do it over again, I would have gone your route - get a universal and make the mid-pipe. It would have saved me about 100 bucks.
Years ago I had a race core IDS2 on a DR650. With 18 discs, it wasn't loud, it was obnoxious! It was bearable with 8 discs, but that negated most of the benefit of the exhaust. I ended up switching to a quiet core, and with 12 discs, actually picked up bottom-end power over the race core (or so it felt to me). I left for work at 5:30 in the morning though, so I had to keep the noise down to please the neighbors.

thanks for all the tips and info on this its great to have someone that has already done it tell yah what they would have done that could make it better ill post up some pics throughout the proceadure and after its all done hopefully it'll work out for me with the race core :P
