i would probably say if the klx could have a high flow design besides the lid off, would be my bike, and completely by accident. 09+acerbis tank+no lid equals a hole big enought to stick you finger in and feel around the air box. sence the seat isnt right, it leaves a gap between the seat and the tank that feeds stright into the air box. probably not good cus it might get water/dirt in eazier, but i know its not for lack of air flow.

I could see where a direct path like that in the direction that water is flowing back from the tires in a creek crossing might result in a muddy air box scenario.

I'm pondering if maybe putting some of that sound matting they use to deaden noise in car trunks/floors on the bottom of the seat might reduce the "rooshoo" noise level audible to driver and make a happy arrangement for those concerned with volume but still interested in as little restriction as possible
