I know I'd get screwed, but I'm wondering what would a trade in price be on a stock 09 right now? Is there a Kelly Blue Book for bikes?

I checked, you can't even select 09 for trade in on KBB....

 

Well yeah you'll get raked over the coals, but it is an option if you are looking at another bike and the dealer sellls both Kawasaki and whatever make you're going for. IIRC you have lots of miles on it, that won't help either, but if you were to walk in and SEE the bike you wanted on their floor, it might not be the worst option to just do a trade in and get whatever you wanted. I wouldn't recommend straight-up selling it to a dealer for cash.

 

when I said that about $4000, I was talking as the bike is/was- with all the mods. Take off the mods, bottom line. And the '09 rotor is larger than the previous 300/250 rotor. check it out. the crests on the waves aren't just there for looks. they're for cooling and cleaning, but they also get grabbed. good luck.

 

And if you decide to trade it in to a dealer, be DAMN sure to have all the mods off, they ain't giving wooden nickel more than the book value for it because of mods. Hell, even take your jet kit out.
