I believe they are the KX High bars, Tusk. MUCH better as I'm 6 feet tall.

It's the full Muzzy, "the great humongous" one.

OK...here's my craigslist ad.

Constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.

There are so many bikes for sale, my ad was pushed to the 3rd page in less than 24 hours.

I would advise getting a photo bucket account and running the direct HTML link in the ad. That allows you to run as many pics as you want and of high quality not CL quality.

Nice bike, too bad you're selling it! IMHO I wouldn't mention needing money in the ad, it's an open invitation for people to try to talk you down... just my $.02... again, nice bike with lots of great mods.

OK, it's official I'm selling it. Here's a new ad.

http://austin.craigslist.org/mcy/1077985217.html

I've hit advrider and a tx riding sight along with craigslist. supermotojunkie as well. Not sure if thumpertalk allows ads or not. Cliffsta I know you are on there, would I be able to list?

It's a better ad than last time and I dropped the price $500.

I am flexible. Course, all you guys want is my parts, not the whole bike!! If I do part out I will lose the SM wheels and Muzzy first.

What would you pay for the entire "package"? Apparantly $4k is total lowball....hehe...

a few other pointers- no one cares what a mod costs new if it's already on the bike you are trying to sell. If mods cost so much and you want to recoup costs of said mods, take them off and sell them individually. imo, no one in their right mind will give you anything close to $6K for a well used '09, mods or not. A list of mods is something that most buyers don't really care about and surely not going to pay $1500-$1800 over book for a bike with them on it. If I'm buying a used bike, I look to get what's on the bike and the bike itself for book value or less, probably less since most sellers are either cash strapped or are salivating for something else and will take a lot less than they're asking. I'd rip those SM wheels and Muzzy off and sell on ebay or craigslist.com or thumpertalk.com. If you don't, you'll lose your **** on them. Also, the '09 rear rotor is larger than prior year 250S' and 300's and I see you're using an older rotor on your '09. can't you see that when the caliper squeezes, it's not getting the whole area on the rotor because it's designed for a rotor that is larger? I'm thinking with the higher miles, $4000 would be a good price to get for a used '09 like yours. then, sell the Muzzy, SM wheels, and other mods you know new members here have wood for. :O)

There is a classified section on TT, its up top, under the General Forums tab. List it there, and then maybe go post a thread in the KLX subforum advertising that you've listed it.

Sucks to see you selling it already. If it doesn't go right off, lemme know about the Muzzy...

Ninja Edit: As our be-hated stalker IG has said, you're gonna get raked over the coals if you don't part it out. Return it to stock (or as close to stock as you can) and keep a $4000 price, then sell the goodies separate. You'll get hella more money that way. IG is right, people won't pay you more than the bike is worth just because all the mods you put on it cost X amount of dollars.

Thanks for the advice, but...from earlier in the thread you quoted (about a 4k price) "if selling, way too low. r u crazy? sell the bike with minimal mods, then sell the mods on craigslist. that's the smart thing to do. dumping the bike as listed for 4K is something, well, only a moron would do."

So that's a little confusing.

You are right about listing price of mods, I will edit the ads. With the rotor I think it's not an issue. The caliper is grabbing plenty of rotor. The "troughs" of the waves on the new rotors are the same size as the rotor now. It's as if I'm using a rotor with the wave crests shaved off.

I've never put anything like a bike up for sale before. Part of the problem is that the ad gets pushed so far down with so many bikes up for sale.

Thanks. Clifftsa is 1st in line if I do get rid of the Muzzy.
