Pre-09 wheels on newer models?
G'day,
I'm in the process of trying to do a super moto conversion to my 2012 Klx250s. Getting new super moto rims in Australia is practically impossible so I've been looking overseas. Just wondering if anybody knows or has put 2006-2007 wheels and hubs on the newer models? I've looked everywhere on these forums but have had no luck figuring out if the front hub will work. I know the speedo won't work as the drives don't match - but am happy to find a solution (trail tech etc.) but just want to know if the hubs will fit and be spaced correctly?
Cheers, Joel

Rear should be virtually identical except maybe the bolt size of the rotor bolts. I know the front hubs are pretty much identical except for speedo drive and possibly rotor bolts again. The rotor bolts may be smaller. If you kept the old drive it may fit in. Some KX models are the same basic hub, but no speedo drive, which may be the best route, having the seals on each side. Most you might have to do is spacers, maybe change bearings to get the right ID. Older KX hubs are what you would want, early-mid 2000s. Go on some site where you can get into part numbers and such, look up the bearings and see if they are the same size - axle match, maybe the left side seal is the same. Check axle part numbers that may also match
