Help on ZX6RR (600 - K1-H) wheels!!
I have a Kawasaki Ninja ZX6 RR 2003 (600 - K1-H model)
I have recently purchased a set of 2nd hand rims/wheels to use as wet rims for track days/ racing.
When i received them, i couldn't have been happier, however when i went out to make sure that they were the correct wheels for my bike i soon became dissapointed.
The breaker that i bought them off said that they would fit even though they were for a 2002-2003 model.
So, as i said was dissapointed, as they don't fit. Several problems really, but mainly there is a problem with the discs.
The discs on my bike measure at:
Front - Diameter - 280mm
Thickness - 5.5mm
Rear - Diameter - 210mm
Thickness - 4.5mm
But the discs on the wheels i just bought are bigger in diameter 300mm(front) and thinner.. with the same sort of problem on the rear.
So i guess what im asking is, if anyone knows of anyway, i could make these wheels fit... for eg.. if i bought after market discs, would they fit on these wheels, or if i had some sort of spacer system for the caliper.???????
Also, if you dont, i would be in the market to purchase another set of wheels if they were correct, so if anyone knows of any it would be amazing if you could let me know!

oh yeah bro dealing with all the spacers and cr@pdoes not sound like fun. get the aftermarket parts so it's just a simple swap if your at the track? imo
ok then soudns like the makings of a plan...
however now i have the problem of finding the correct sized disc (28cm- front from the 03 model) on a 2002 rotor carrier... hurmpppppph... ne ideas where i could get such a thing..???

your going to end up paying more to get the wrong wheels to work then going out and buying a set of aftermarket wheels made for your bike. price it all out before you make a purchase and see where its at. it just sounds like alot to go through for a set up that you want as safe as possible on the track.
ah see the thing is.. im going to be racing Streetstock... so i need kawasaki rims hence cnt have aftermarket rims.. but aftermarket discs are an option.. but i believe possibly wheels form the 636 of 2003 may fit>??? ne ideas??
You can get 10mm spacers & boltsto put between the forks & calipers as long as the rotors are in-line with the calipers & pads. I used to sell the spacers but sold out. I do have the bolts. I'll see about getting more spacers made.
Yes, the spacers move the calipers outward by 10mm from the axle so as long as the rotors are lined up with the calipers, they will fit/ work. Have you tried bolting your stock rotors to these wheels?
Also having the larger diameter rotors will give you better braking. If you decide to go with the spacers, get a set of 05-06 636/ ZX6RR rotors which are 300mm. Another option is to use 05-06 636 or ZX6RR forks. Then you won't need the spacers & bolts. A lot of different options; you only have to choose which one you want.
