Default New tires

I just replaced my stock tires with a set of Kenda Track Masters (K-760's). The weather here will be around 60 degrees this weekend and I can't wait to see how the will perform.

Be careful with a TM on the front. Don't forget the 100 mile scrub-in period until the mold release wears off the rubber.

I gotta agree on the front Trakmaster. I didn't have as much trouble with traction as I did with side ***** going south quickly...which would ultimately affect traction and performance...obviously. But then I've had a lot of front tires peel the side ***** on the KLX way too quickly for some reason...and I ain't no Ricky Carmichael. Oddly the rear Trakmasters I've used stand up amazingly well. They've been very durable, get good traction, and don't chunk ***** to any serious degree. I've tried many combos, but right now I like the Kenda Desert Parker front and Trakmaster rear. I ride 90% dirt and 10% pavement.

I ride 100 percent off road and 80 percent of that is soft sand. I have quite a few friends that ride this set-up and rave about it. Right now anything is better than the stock tires. Time will tell and I will adjust accordinngly. I'll let you all know how I make out Saturday. Thanks for the input.

Went about 50 hard, sloppy miles today. Had rain yesterday and last night with fog this morning and temps around 45. Many water crossings today. Some real deep. The new tires performed very well. The rear tire is incredible! Traction is fantastic. Made a big difference in the sandy turns. The front is much better than the stock tire. It's going to take a few rides to get used to this new setup. Feels like a completely different bike. I'm liking it!
