Default Tires, Tires, Tires

Will have to replace the stock tires on 2007 KLX250S. Will be riding on blacktop as well as offroad. No sand. Any recommendations?

If you do mostly dirt, Michellin AC10s or Pirelli MT21s

Otherwise Dunlop 606s or Kenda TRackMaster IIs

Try Kenda 776F front and Kenda 778 Rear. Good combo from what I hear. + 1 on the AC10's, running them at the moment.

Currently running D606 front Trak master rear. I'm more than happy with off road traction. My friend has MT21's for his XL250r they don't have quite the traction in mud but are good tires although the front tire is a bit narrow (80mm wide). Cheng Chin c858 arn't to bad for the money another friend has these 4.10 rear on the front and a 5.10 rear on an Xl200r. Had a Kenda K777 front tire they wear extremely fast on pavement.

I replaced my stock rear with the Kenda K270 and so far I'm happy with it. It's probably a little better on the pavement than it is in the dirt (esp mud or sand), but any dual-purpose tire is going to be a compromise. For the price, it's worth a look.

Kenda K270

if you want good onroad and offroad coupled with longevity D606 is hands down the winner. so far this tire has the best balance for on/off road coupled with longevity.

Look into the Pirelli Scorpion XC Heavy Duty Mid Hard tires. The mid hard compound wears very well on pavement and off road. There is a soft mid compound to. DOT tires.

I currently have the Kenda K270 installed for the front and rear. So far 4,200 miles on 90% pavement and still have tread to keep going on. May last for another 1,000 miles or more. Planning on switching to the Bridgestone TW301 & TW302 for better off-road grip and maybe the same road life as the K270.

I have been looking at those. Sounds like they last a while but how do you like them? Any big pluses or minuses?

these tires arent to hot in the dirt.. they also clog up quick in any kind of wet stuff.. they are definitely more road biased.
