Will do!

yea, this bike is untouched by the PO

Its all box stock

Thanks will report back with how she feels with a 138K (might only have a 135 and a 140 in stock? 140?

I just rode it today with the lid off, cleaned up the mid range with the settings below. might be too lean now with all that air coming in.

I know I am kinda jumping around with the lid/no lid

55 degrees outside air temp (OAT)
AIR BOX: No Lid, stock airfilter litely oiled, screen in
CARB. Pilot 40. FS 2.0 turns out. Stock Needle raised .110mm. 145K Main
MCM mod
Stock header with FMF Power Core 4 Slip on

I could go either way on the lid, but I am gunna "plug" up the exhaust with that OEM muff in a week or so unfortunately.

any Keihin Main jet/N1TC or stock needle suggestions for the below set up?

55 degrees outside air temp (OAT) @ Sealevel
AIR BOX: No Snork/Lid Installed, stock airfilter litely oiled, screen in
CARB. Pilot 40. FS 2.0 turns out. Needle ????? Keihin Main ?????
MCM mod
Stock header with OEM Muff

My guess your gunna say 130K or 135K main. That 118 was ridiculously lean

would like to make the stock needle or the N1TC work but one seems too lean and the other too rich for the above set up. My guess is a stock raised .110mm

For what it is worth Pippin was running a 125 main at 2400 ft, my brother is running a 128 main at 1000 ft. Brother is running an 06 with a 300 exhaust, lid on w/220 snorkel. I run a Dial-A-Jet fuel adder so I'm running a 125 main. Both run second clip groove. Both in Ohio around 40° lattitude.

CTbale, first to your question:

You simply require a variant of the normal DJ stage 1 carb setup...
This means DJ124 - DJ128 main jets (K132 - K138).
Your N1TC will fuel properly without resorting to drilling the slide or modifying the slide spring. N1TC is short and rich - perfect for your mod combo.

Normally, I would refer you to the membership for such an ordinary carb setup recipe, but your carb may be one of the few that "act up" with performance setups (Midrange bogging and overfueling with known working setups..)
It's almost like the choke system partially activates (during WOT ops) from the midrange on up to redline.

So, I would advise starting off with a conservative setup - K132, N1TC with clip on 1N (top notch). This will run your bike perfectly well if your carb is "normal". Since you have the "TRQ Monster" mod combo, you need "bigger fueling" in the midrange, and do not need "big fueling" past 7500 rpm. This means that if you want to "tweak" your setup, you do it by lowering the clip on the N1TC and certainly not by throwing in bigger and bigger main jets.

While lowering the clip and testing, if the midrange bogging/overfueling reappears, you'll know what to do to get rid of it.

Ok.

I put in a 135K and N1TC clip at N1, 40 pilot and fs at 2.0 turns.

have not rode it yet. Will report back, but I think I am pretty close.

thank you!

I assume your airbox lid is on but no snorkel...

While the PC4 is on, you should still make some power up to about 9k rpm and the K135 should be able to take care of top end (rpms) fueling needs..

Once the stock slipon is installed:

Top end power will trail off sooner but your current CVK setup should run the bike just fine.
The clip setting can be tweaked to find the best acceleration "curve" from off idle to 7500 rpm at wide open throttle.

Thanks! yea I expect to fiddle with it a bit after I put/plug up the exhaust!

Yup, lid on, no snorkel. That snorkel is really restrictive. Never putting that back on. Kinda want to make that hole 20% bigger though. Might fab a cover and do that.
