Minimum octane - Big mistake in owner's manual
You hit the nail on the head. I think we pay something stupid close to 20 bucks for a pack of cigarettes now, where in the States their cheap as dirt....I think. All taxes.
Free health care is sweet though. And Hockey.

Every time I'm tempted to feel sorry for myself because of the tax burdens imposed by the US gubment all I have to do to cheer myself up is think of the average Canadian citizen, who is taxed until they bleed, then taxed some more.
Love your country, fear your government...
I'm glad we're next door to you, and we benefit from a system somewhere in between.
Our taxes are too high, but so are yours, and it's gettting worse in a hurry. The main reason you can benefit the way you do is, smaller country, huge population. You have the economies of scale on your side. We don't.
I am next door to NY state, and the difference in gas, and smokes is not that much.
For increased performance and reduced deposits...I always put premium gas (US 91 octane) in my M3. I give the same treatment to my KLX...especially since its just 1+ gallons. Not all 'premium' gas is created equal. Amongst M3 and other performance car enthusiasts...Chevron and 76 are leaders of the pack in clean running, premium gasoline.
