Harvesting the moose pee is quite a challenge way up north here in CAN-A-DAH. Ya boys, we be settlin in for the snow any time now... BOUT (boot) time too . . . me igloo roof needs a new layer...

Jesting aside, there is one SIGNIFICANT difference in the Canuk Gases.

We are taxed out the tail pipe for the pleasure of burning it! I took a little trip STATE SIDE, in the Impala with knock sensors (;-) and my 60 liter tank costs $55-60 to fill here in CAN-A-DA. Down there, whoa... you are damn near giving the stuff away! Cost me $35 to fill my tank from quarter full.

I figured yous (you plural of course) guys pay 40% less.

Taste tests indicated it was the same gas... :0

Oh, ya, it seemed like you go further and faster on it... those MILES are long, and WHOA ! Love that 70MPH speed limit in Michigan.

Don't forget the exchange $35 US at times can come out close to $55 CDN (not really)

It pisses me off that the prices are so different across the nation. Here in Oilberta we drill for it (indirectly of course) in our backyards yet pay $1.10 a liter for it at the pumps.

Yes I get that it has to be refined and shipped blah blah blah I've been doing this for a while, but it still pisses me off!

at any rate the manual has different rating method. on the battery side rear plastic, states clearly maintenance and fuel requirements. 91 octane. do or die.

Right, back on track. I would also use 91, and have. It isn't going to harm your engine by doing so, and realistically you're not dumping that much more green into your tank by doing so vs a lower octane. You'll probably save more money by switching from corona to Old Milwaukee. To each their own though.

Hey Ndery,
I was puzzling over the same sort of thing back in April and got some great feedback from the forum.
Here's the link: https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...ghlight=octane
Tends to support TNC and others with similar opinion.

That's because your government has decided to "protect" it's citizens from themselves by using tax policy to shape public behavior. Unlike Europe, which has pracitically no oil reserves (and corresponding gas prices) Canada has mucho oil and a relatively small population so you would expect relatively low fuel prices everything else being equal. Which they aren't.

Every time I'm tempted to feel sorry for myself because of the tax burdens imposed by the US gubment all I have to do to cheer myself up is think of the average Canadian citizen, who is taxed until they bleed, then taxed some more.

Love your country, fear your government...
