Default Help needed with main jet selection..

Hey guys, I'm a new member from Sydney Australia.

Looking at jetting two KLX250s', an 09 and a 10.

They will be ridden around 500-600m above sea level. Sometimes at sea level.

I want to go with OEM Keihin parts through Kawasaki.

Both bikes will have the snorkel removed, FMF Megabomb header and FMF Q4 pipe.

Should I go with a #138 main or #135?

Thanks in advance.

Hey mate. Go with the #138 based on this sheet that WestOzKLX posted (https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...&postcount=2):

Go up to a #38 pilot jet too - it's well worth it.

Actra, what clip are you using with tha setup and how many washers?

Also do you happen to know how many turns on the fuel screw?

I actually went the Dynojet kit route rather than using OEM bits. I only used that sheet for the pilot jet part number.

Dynojet 2206 kit with needle on 3rd clip slot, #38 OEM pilot jet, #128 DJ main jet

My screw is the prescribed 2.5 turns out which seems to be perfect for me.

Hmmm I did the exact same thing. It's much better than stock, but I still get some what of a decel pop. Maybe it's because the us model comes with a 35 pilot instead of a 38...I think lol don't quote me on it. Well I'll have to figur that out. Thank you for the response good sir!
