Thanks Brian....that's the right half...got another bay on the left. I made the mistake of building my detached garage BEFORE I started finishing the basement in the house. Caught hell from the wife and figured the detached garage would end up being my doghouse...so I have a NICE doghouse! 2ea 14' wide x 26' deep bays, and 822 sq ft of apartment above....I didn't plumb it cuz I figured if I did we'd have at least one child that would claim it as their own and never leave the nest!

Snal, if you plumb that apartment then you won't need to worry about your kids staying around. With that sweet setup, I might see if you will adopt me, my wife and our four kids. We don't eat much (actually, that's not true).

We might be able to draw up an adoption/rental agreement Chris!...if ya'll don't mind the sound of roaring Harleys and KLX's...LOL! The wife and I are seriously considering ditching this county (Buncombe) when the last child takes flight (if they ever will!). Tax values are growing by leaps and bounds...we built this place 6 years ago and it has nearly tripled in value since then. We have a camper down at Lake James in McDowell county...and kinda like it down there...we're country folk. We could sell our place, duplicate it down there, pay off the mortgage, and have the new place free and clear, and likely have money left over....prices are that crazy near Asheville. Besides...they have lots of powerline roads and paved twisties down near Marion...I could get into that!
