Snal, I don't know the owner, but I would be glad to go check the bike out for you if you want to save a trip. I certainly wouldn't want you to base a final buy decision on my assessment, but if you want me to do a first check for you just to make sure it's worth your time to come over, I would be glad to do that. I am leaving town today for Atlanta, but I will be back tomorrow night. If you want to arrange something with the owner for me to look at the bike on Saturday, I can work something out.

I still to this day look at the Honda 650 dual sport every time I get to the shop, I still wish I had bought this bike, but I think at the time I was worried that it would be a little heavy on the trails, but now after getting back into riding and gaining more experience, the bike looks like it would be perfect. But I am still happy with the KLX, I guess its like being happily married and looking at other girls, I mean it doesn't matter where you get your appetite, as long as you eat at home............

Nice find, sounds like a good buy, but yea can it be dual sported that's the big question.

 

I thought the KLX400 was a dual sport? Ala same as the DRZ-S not the E dirt model. Oh well my mistake.

 

Just found out that NC conversions from offroad to dualsport is near impossible, but a back door is easily getting a TN title, then run it through NC as a street legal bike.

 

Will it be another KLX 250??????...found a 2006 with 434 miles on it, full Muzzy, brush guards, aftermarket full plastics, ect (still has all original parts) for $3800....$3500 if it doesn't sell by monday.
