Seems I have error code 11, confirmed with oscilloscope and the Main Throttle Sensor is dead. Seems I can't get this as its not listed anywhere is this the case?
The manual says replace the whole throttle body assembly, yikes! It’s only a sealed up variable resistor, I could pull it apart, but that would probably wreck it. Does anyone know where else these sensors are used and can be bought?

Yep your correct the Throttle body comes as a complete unit. I had an issue with my Sub Throttle sensor a while back & inquired on the price here in Thailand new from Kawasaki to save me bothering fixing it & it was 10,000 Baht (200 pounds). Yikes!!

That prompted me to get down n dirty with a mechanic friend & found it was just the shaft running from the servo motor to the sensor was out of alignment & fixed in a few hours...Phew!!

 

Yep, got it sorted found a throttle sensor (variable resistor) on ebay advertised as for a 250R EX250. Tested and the correct resistance was measured, fitted and working fine, phew!
