Default stx 1100 di throttle sensor prob, poor max rpm

hey all I have a 2003 stx 1100 direct injection 2 stoke, It worked fine for about half an hour when i only had 2/3 power! after about 10 mins engine light came on and had no reving power at all and had to returne back on idle speed. checked spark and injectors are working fine. I pulled off the throttle body sensor and twisted it with my finger whilst holding full throttle and had it reving out to 8000rpm ( max stock), i played with it a bit and found that idle speed was arount half that untill i twisted the sensor *** back to where it would be for idle but couldnt rev it past 3000rpm at full throttle. warning light dissapers for some of this time while looking for the problem yet sometimes it returns! does this throttle body sensor sound to be the problem? cheers fellors!

Throttle body sensor?

there should be a dealer mode you can put that thing in to when that light comes on. it'll flash you a code and you can go from there.

TPS sensors need initialized after replacement, otherwise they'll NEVER feed an accurate signal to the ECU.

if you don't have a manual, i highly suggest stealing or buying one!!

welcome to KF, keep us posted, and good luck!
