The guy that had the 250 jug sleeved is name is marty, he doesn't come around the forum any more. Blue Bill did the work for him(the guy that is boring the 33mm mikuni's). From what I hear the work was top notch and the bike runs awsome. I don't think anyone else on here has done this but someone else is getting it done from some where else.

I have this Thumper Racing 340cc big bore kit that one of you guys really needs to buy and install. It is new and includes cylinder, piston, rings, pin, clips and gaskets. Sold my KLX but I would bet this is just what this bike needs to make it rip.

+1 on the Thumper Racing kit! It will absolutely transform your bike. I have 650 miles on mine so far with no problems whatsoever. With everything provided in the kit, it was simply a matter of swapping parts. However, all of the big-bore kits are good and will provide similar results.

As for Bill Blue, he is a first-rate guy that does top-notch work. It's rare to find someone who cares as much as he does that you are a satisfied customer.

The KLX250s cylinder only differs from the 300 cylinder in bore diameter- every other dimension is the same. Talk to the manufacturers, but you should have no problem using your stock cylinder with any big-bore kit.

Whichever route you choose, I think you'll be very impressed with the results.
