Default First accessory today

Installed the new license plate. Looks like crap and does nothing for performance. But will be ordering a rear sprocket soon. Thinking 48 or 49 tooth. If for sure the 49 will fit under the chain guard, I will go that route. 110 link chain for the 48 - will I need 111 link for the 49 ? And for a non racing trail rider, would I get better service from a steel or aluminum sprocket ? And last question for this post,Is a O-Ring chain the way to go for a dirt bike or doesthis trap dirt and wear out faster ?

I pulled my chain gaurd off the second day I had it. I think most people here change the front sprocket but Ill let the veterans answer that.

A 49 tooth sprocket will not fit under the rear chain guard but that didn’t really matter to me since I never had one anyway on my other bikes.. Just catches more dirt/mud....[][]

If your sticking with the 14 tooth front, the 49 tooth is a nice way tolower thegearing for tight woods riding needs. You WILL however need a new chain.... and don't worry, with 6 gears (THANK YOUKAWASAKI!!) it runs up to55 mph at 5,000rpms....

I'm currently running a 14-49 combo with 110 linkchain. As far as types of chains, I'd recommend a DID or RK x-ring chain the're worth the little bit of extra $.

Bottom chain guard still fits with the 49......I don't think it would fit with a 50

hmm, I am not sure on size fitments, but I will comment on O' ring chains and Ironman sprockets. (Just because my bro uses them on a crf450 with good results.)
