ive been running a +1 countersprocket since day 5, took a few days for that sprocket to get here when I first got the bike

it really lowered the rpm at top speed, and increased top speed too
somewhere I posted the results, im going to say maybe 5mph plus

ive never felt the bike accelerated slowly from doing this
even when going back to stock

what I can say is I can rev out more before switching gears, which is how I like to ride
instead of having to shift every 3 seconds because I hit the rev limiter

countersprocket is cheap and easy to install I suggest trying that first

exhaust/jetting will help too, but costs alot more

Its interesting people saying 80-85mph is stock.

FTR its carb, not EFI. Well sprockets are easy to change, maybe ill go that route to start (not sure what will help top end the most, ill have to look at different gearing combos).

I wonder if the canadian version is limited?? What could be causing 10-15mph lower speed? As far as i know the KUBA link is all i know that was changed\added, I bought it with 1200kms on it.

I use a drd speedo healer and got my speedo set to match speeds

I can hit 85-87 stock 250 engine flat ground no headwinds
but average around 80 because of the winds around here
with the mods listed in my sig line

since I rarely go on the freeway im happy with the speeds
