Have you received a notice from kawi about the recall on the grips?
I'm sure glad I have an 06.

BTW Grips not the only thing slipping on the 09's.

ooops!!
you're right about that, the sight of mine and your old '06 are slipping in the mirrors of my '09 as I accelerate away from both of them.

If people see me agreeing with you IG,
Well there goes what little was left of my reputation.

I enjoy working on my bike.
I have always done it.
Can be quite relaxing.

Just put whats left over in a drawer.

ditto. no one touches my bike but me and my wrenches. I may ask for help from time to time or research methods, but I'm always the one to administer the adjustments or modifications.

I have been forced off the bike for a week or 2 due to injury.

So I took the time to strip her down and carry out some routine stuff.
General clean check and lube.

I do it every year.
Normally takes a day but this time I am in no rush.

It's probably over the top but as the bike is only used off road, and I do mean off road, so I just want to check things out.

Plus as I say, for me it's enjoyable.

Good thing to do on an annual basis. I did the same thing to my KLX when I broke my collar bone. I was out for 6 weeks with that, and the first two or three of those I couldn't do too much, but after that I tore into the swing arm bearings, the linkage bearings, and the steering head bearings. You've probably found that the factory doesn't put much if any grease on those things. I'd highly recommend folks get those greased at lease once. If any water gets past your seals, you're bearings will be toast - there's no grease to help keep the water out.

I also did my 331 big bore around that time while I couldn't ride anyway as well as my FCR35 carb. Good times.
