you could always look for a second hand Staintune, though they are not easy to find.

Thanks for the replies, so your saying that any pipe and header designed to the klx250s will fit even this fmf pipe and header? http://www.fmfracing.com/application...&model=KLX250S

+1 on barthel75's note.
I have the HMF w/ PowerBomb head pipe. Works great. But keep in mind that any mods to intake/exhaust WILL require a jetting change.

I've thought about the jetting. But I bought the bike when it was 8 months old and it apparently had a 300 kit, modified stock exhaust (end removed and bigger welded in place) and the jetting changed from the dealer. Any idea of jet size required?

If you do have a 300, I can't help you out as mines still a 250. Sorry. Maybe some of the guys who have the 300cc kit can chime in.

Two things to keep in mind:
1) Any KLX300 FULL SYSTEM will fit on any KLX250S
2) The KLX250S header is shorter than the KLX300 header

You can't mix and match a KLX300 header with a KLX250S slip on.
But you can use a KLX300 header and KLX300 slip on.
