Default Another exhaust question

Hi, I asked my local shop about exhausts all they said was that only staintune made one to fit and it'll be $1000 full system (bit rich)!. I've also read just about all the exhaust threads in this forum and I'am still a little confused as to which exhaust fits my klx. So I'am not just asking for the sake of it.
I have a nov 06 klx250 (Australian model) could someone let me know what full system fits and a part number if possible.
Thanks in advance

I have an 06 model and chose the Big Gun Evo X
Only pipe I can find now on the Big Gun site is the Evo S

Evo X looks like it's gone.
I think the ceramic coating on the header is now all stainless steel?
But I'm not sure.

Sounds like your local shop is trying to take you for a ride. I wouldn't buy anything else from them. There's a few exhausts that will work - the FMF, Muzzy, Two Bros, Big gun, etc.

There's a lot you can choose from, tell your shop they're idiots.

I think here in Aus there are less options.
My dealer only offered me a Staintune.
The Big Gun importer didn't import the system for the KLX.
Ended up buying it in the states and shipping it in.

The KLX-300 system works well. I bet you can find one locally (at least in your part of the world ) pretty cheap. Seems like I have ~$90USD in mine delivered at my door.

I have a question on the exhaust side of things too. I want to get an HMF w/ quiet core insert. Also, I want to open up the airbox, but I don't want to rejet my carb b/c I do like the fuel economy of the bike.

Will opening up the air on both ends be ok without rejetting?

No.
The bike is lean from the factory. If you introduce any more air without adding bigger jets you will cause the motor to run super hot (more so with the smog crap still in place) and seriously shorten the life of your motor. Add a pipe for sure, but leave the intake side alone if your not going to up jet her.
